So they've just announced the 2015 summer season at the Globe- Dominic Dromgoole's last season :-( of course if you look back far enough on my LJ you'll find me being heartbroken about Mark Rylance leaving and then unconvinced by Dominic Dromgoole coming but he's done an incredible job at the Globe and he'll be sorely missed ( Read more... )

I had to cover our family activities over lunchtime today but they've got a 1970s theme which means that what ACTUALLY happened was I sat and played with our Spirograph for an hour *coughs* I totally helped some children learn how to use it too but it's stupidly fun (if frustrating when you slip halfway through a complicated pattern ( Read more... )

This morning ALL the theatre was announced... well a new season from Michael Grandage which looks insanely good complete with Judi Dench, Daniel Radcliffe, Ben Whishaw, Sheridan Smith, Jude Law etc. and a complete range of plays ( Read more... )

I've spent the afternoon (well part of it) making chocolate orange cupcakes (omg having a cooker back is so wonderful ♥) whilst my parents put up some new fencing in our garden. Pretty sure I got the best of that deal.

Tonight we're off to see Top Hat which is rather lovely :-D So I probably ought to catch up on past reviews again *g*

I am, once again, WAY behind on theatre reviews. This time it's partly because they were so close together but also that I'm ridiculously sad my Globe to Globe adventures are coming to an end :-( I've only got two left and one of those is in English!

I am inevitably now craving all kinds of things that CLEARLY can't be made without an oven. So Thursday was the third of my Globe to Globe plays and I've said this elsewhere already but I suspect it's the one and only time I'll ever see cardboard & tinfoil swords in a play at the Globe!
